Diacom EC-6505 elastomer certified to NSF-61

Over the past couple years the potable water industry in the U.S. and Canada has been moving towards requiring NSF 61 certification. The Research & Development staff at DiaCom Corporation has taken a proactive approach to meet this certification before it is mandated industry wide.

DiaCom developed a proprietary elastomer,EC-6505 which has been tested and certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI Standard 61. The elastomer has been certified to the very difficult requirements for commercial hot water.

This material also offers exceptional chloramine resistance and was tested to ASTM D6284 at an independent test lab. The material is compounded with FDA grade ingredients making it ideal for food grade applications.

This new elastomer is ideally suited for water controls diaphragms and will offer many advantages over other standard materials. QS9000 principles have been replaced by the IATF to TS16949 Standard

DiaCom is the first U.S. Company in our industry to successfully achieve certification of the ISO/TS16949 Quality System, on October 18, 2004.

NSF Elastomer
Dia•Com has a new, specially developed EPDM elastomer that is chloramine resistant, made with FDA approved ingredients, and will be receiving approval to NSF 61 in the spring of 2004.

New Large Diaphragm Press
Dia•Com is pleased to announce that as of August 2003 we have expanded our abilities to make larger diaphragms. Our previous maximum capability for diaphragm outer diameter was 550mm (21 in.) our new press addition will allow us to manufacture parts over 810mm (32 in.) in diameter!

T-Flex ™ Diaphragms
Dia•Com has recently introduced diaphragms using a new high strength PTFE material. This new material is specially designed to not thin in formed areas as associated with a standard PTFE material and will outlast a standard PTFE diaphragm in a side by side cycle test by as much as ten times!
